Taste the Difference Picnic

The Lancaster community is rich with diversity. This is something to celebrate and to embrace. The Table Community Church is sponsoring a free covered-dish picnic at Flory Park on Sunday, September 20, from 4-7 p.m.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a large covered-dish that serves 12 and represents their cultural background. Then, we will taste the best foods of many different countries. We’re celebrating the taste of our differences, and you’re an essential ingredient! It’s a great time to see old friends and make new ones.

Beginning at 4 p.m. at Flory Park, behind the K-mart on Lincoln Highway East, the festivities will continue until dusk. The event is for the entire family. Children will enjoy spending their energy on the playground or open grass. Adults are welcome to play a round of Amish Quoits or just relax around the tables. We want this to be an evening where you and your family can come and get to know the people from the community in an open and carefree setting.
