Chili Cook-Off
It may be cold outside, but the chili is hot at the Table Church’s Five Alarm Chili Cook-off and Coffee House on February 5, 2011. The Table is contemporary and casual church that meets on the campus of Lancaster Christian School at 651 Lampeter Road, Lancaster.
The action begins at 6 PM with a Chili Cook-off . Cook up your best pot of chili and bring it to The Table. Too hot? Don’t worry! The Lafayette Fire Company will be our special guests. They are bringing their fire truck, just in case your chili needs to be cooled-off. Members from the fire company will be our chili contest judges.
Give your chili a creative name, and enter the fun. Not a cook? No problem! Just bring your appetite! We will all sample the chili and corn bread. Don’t like chili? No problem. Other tailgate favorites will also be served. The food and the fun are free. Bring Your Friends!
The congregation will honor the fire fighters from Lafayette for the sacrifices they make every day for their neighbors. Pastor Dan Houck will address the gathering, and a special guest musician will present coffee house music.
