I’m New
Below you will find some frequently asked questions about our church to make your first visit a pleasant one!
Where Do You Meet?
The Table Community Church meets at Lancaster Christian School in West Lampeter Township. The address is 651 Lampeter Road, Lancaster, PA. As you drive up on a Saturday night, you’ll see our banner at the front door. Click here for directions.
As you enter the doors of Lancaster Christian School, you will be welcomed by cheerful greeters who will help you find our area of worship and/or children’s classrooms
What Should I Wear?
A few people dress up, but most people choose to dress down and come casual. Come the way that you feel most comfortable. Our pastor even sometimes preaches in a sports jersey.
What is a Coffee House Church?
We meet at round tables. Discussion is encouraged. The pastor often poses a question for us to talk about at the tables. Snacks and beverages are provided all night long. Baristas stand ready to prepare a refreshing coffee beverage. Very cool! The Table Church offers you a warm and welcoming place where you can be yourself. We welcome individuals of all walks of life whether you’re still exploring Christianity or have been committed to Jesus all of your life.
What is Your Worship Service Like?
This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. We have live upbeat worship with guitars and drums, as well as more intimate songs of worship. Everyone worships in their own unique way. For many, that means singing and clapping, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. You’re welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
What about the Offering?
Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of a monetary offering. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives. It also gives The Table the means to reach more people for Christ in the future.
Is there a Time for Teaching?
Every Saturday, you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation. Click here to take a listen online. We use many different ways to teach. Some of these include: discussion, hands-on experiences, drama, dance, movie clips and music videos.
Do You Provide Child Care?
During the service, The Table offers programs for children up to grade 6. Our well-child nursery allows parents the ability to leave their baby with trusted adults so they can enjoy the service.
What Else Do You Offer?
During the week, programs are available for youth, young adults, men and women. Small groups also meet throughout the week to allow for deeper bible study and relationship-building.
I heard something about Real, Relevant and Relational?
The Table Community Church opens its doors wide to people of all backgrounds. We are striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible…a church with REAL heart-felt worship, RELEVANT teaching that changes lives and a RELATIONAL atmosphere where meaningful friendships can develop. In short, we want to become the kind of contagious community that influences and encourages the community, one life at a time.
With Whom is The Table Affiliated?
The Table is a Brethren in Christ Church (BIC). We are a part of the Atlantic Conference. You can learn more about the BIC at www.bic-church.org.
